Government Accountability Bill (Authored by Prairie Canada) Author: Prairie Canada Date: October 22nd, 2014 AD Knowing that governments sometimes unknowingly and knowingly harm corporations based within those countries or abroad, which have international shareholders, it is evident that there must be regulations in place internationally to render aid to these corporations, and organizations which are harmed by the actions of a government. For example, if the legislation of a government harms a corporation adversely, causing losses to foreign investors, that corporation must havemeans and a right to sue the government for compensation. Without this right, the building blocks of corporate economy come tumbling down. Corporations have a duty to their shareholders to deliver profits. If the actions in a government harm this stock, the corporations should have the right to sue the government harming the value of their company in order to compensate international shareholders. As a result, it is imperative that the Commonwealth of Free Nations passes into law a requirement on the governments of it's members. This following requirement is a one of political, judicial, and economic nature. In the case that a government's actions harm a company with foreign investors, this company has the right to prove and sue for damages in order to compensate investors.
