THE COLLEGIATE LEADERSHIP REGULATION ACT
________________________________________
RECOGNIZING that the Commonwealth College is a formal educational establishment managed by its professors and students and headed by the Dean.
NOTICING that there is no set term limit for the Dean
BELIEVING that this lack of definition of the length of service will lead to confusion and power struggles in the future without change.

THUS PROPOSING:
~The term of the Dean will last for approximately 6 months, beginning on the day that the Dean is elected into office.
~The Dean shall be elected by students and professors of the College. A vote for or against the proposed Dean shall count as 1 for students and 2 for professors.
~The candidate for Dean must be selected by the Chancellor and approved by the Vice and Deputy Chancellors.
~In the event that more than one candidate for Dean is approved by the Chancellorship, the election shall be handled in the format of a regular election, with students and professors retaining their voting power.
~Once the Dean is installed, he or she can be removed by a vote of the simple majority of professors.
~In the event that a Dean is removed from office, professors shall act as the collective Dean for the remainder of the 6 month term.
~A Dean can run for reelection without approval from the Chancellorship. However, the Chancellorship retains the right to propose another candidate.
~An incumbent Dean can serve a maximum of 3 terms.
~The current Acting Dean of January shall be subjected to the effects of this bill.
