Question Period Act
As per my election promise, I hereby propose the Question Period Act. This Act seeks to strengthen Government Transparency by making elected officials responsible to the electorate and ensuring that the CFN Government is a Government for the people
1. At least once per term, there is to be a Question Period where citizens of the CFN can ask our Government questions on their progress and plans for the future.
2. There is to be a Question Period hosted by the Speaker of Parliament scheduled around the middle of the Government's Term, most likely after the Votes of Confidence. The Speaker of Parliament can choose any medium to host the Question Period such as Chatzy.
3. During the Question Period, the Speaker of Parliament will conduct the procedures based off basic parliamentary manner. Citizens politely ask a Cabinet Minister a question, and from there, the Minister is obligated to answer it. The Speaker of Parliament can ask whether the Citizen would like to rebuttal, and if not, then he/she moves on to the next question.
4. To ensure efficiency, before each Question Period commences, citizens who want to ask a question will TG the Speaker of Parliament beforehand so that the Speaker of Parliament can have a pre-made list when carrying out the Question Period.
5. As stated earlier, there must be at least one Question Period per term. If citizens want to organize another Question Period, a group of 10 registered citizens must present evidence of their signatures to the Speaker of Parliament. If they are valid, then the Speaker of Parliament will organize a date to host another Question Period.
6. Once a date is organized by the Speaker of Parliament with regards to the schedules of the Chancellor and Ministers, then the Chancellor will notify the region via TG. All residents and foreigners may attend a Question Period, but only Registered Citizens may ask questions.
7. After a Question Period has finished, the Minister of Internal Affairs or any independent body, will create a transcript of the Question Period that will be posted on the CFN Archives for everyone to see.
8. The Speaker of Parliament reserves the right to deny a question if it is inappropriate.
