THE COMMUNICATIONS CODE
ARTICLE I:All nations within and outside of the Commonwealth of Free Nations shall be granted the right to speak freely of any topic or fact or opinion or belief without restriction within the Commonwealth.ARTICLE II:However, no nation shall make a comment that clearly alienates and/or persecutes and/or insults one's mental, emotional, social, physical, economical, political, spiritual, religious, moral, or ethical state of being and/or belief, nor any organizations that one may be a part of. Telegrams and the Regional Message Board and the regional Forums and the NationStates forums are places where this article is in effect, for as long as one is tethered in any way to the Commonwealth of Free Nations.ARTICLE III:To violate Article II and/or cause emotional, spiritual/religious, mental or physical harm, directly or otherwise, can incur the punishment of temporary or permanent banishment from the Commonwealth of Free Nations, based on the severity of the situation, to be held in an official court of law before a judge and jury.ARTICLE IV:The accused violator(s) may waive the right to a jury, and may also waive the right to an attorney, as can the alleged victim(s) ARTICLE V:If ever a comment made by the accused violator(s) is considered petty in nature, the trial can be dismissed by the presiding judge. Unless the comment that is deemed petty causes considerate emotional, spiritual/religious, mental or physical harm, directly or otherwise, to the alleged victim(s), whether directly or indirectly.
