Judicial Employee Act
RECOGNIZING the immense task of operating the Judicial Systems of the Commonwealth
PROPOSING a group of appointed employees to alleviate and assist in this task
I. All employees of the Courts will be appointed and will serve at the discretion of the Chief Justice
II. The employees of the Courts will include: Clerk of the Courts, Administrative Assistant of the Chief Justice, Legal Assistant to the Federal Court, Legal Assistant to the Circuit Court, Legal Assistant to the Appellate Court, Recorder of the Courts
III. The Clerk of the Courts shall take the responsibility of the Law Clerk and will nullify said position. The Clerk shall keep all records that already exist and those that are created by the Recorder. He is responsible for overseeing the Recorder and reporting new records to the people. Must be a Citizen well tuned with the legal process. May not hold any other Judicial office. Subordinate to the Chief Justice
IV. The Administrative Assistant of the Chief Justice shall assist the Chief Justice in his many tasks through advise and helpful organization. May not hold any other Judicial office. Subordinate to the Chief Justice.
V. The Legal Assistant to each Court (Federal, Circuit, and Appellate) shall work to organize their Court while assisting the Justice assigned to a case. They will assist a Justice presiding over a case in their court with anything that the Justice sees necessary. They will be responsible for providing Justices with advice, assistance, and questions. They are Citizens that are interested in the legal process that would like to become acquainted with the process. May not hold any other Judicial office. Subordinate to the Chief Justice
VI. The Recorder of the Courts shall be responsible for writing transcripts and records of all legal proceedings and will give completed records to the Clerk of the Courts. Must be present at ALL legal proceedings to take proper minutes. He shall be prohibited to exclude anything from the record except what he is advised to be the Justice. May be any nation but a Justice. May not hold any other Judicial office. Appointed by the Chief Justice, but subordinate to the Clerk of the Courts
VII. The Chief Justice has sole control over the processes of the employees of the Court. They are employed at his discretion and he may elect not to fill a position outlined in this law should he so chose
