DENOUNCEMENTS:
RECOGNIZING that the "Commonwealth Academy for Collegiate Studies Charter" establishes the Commonwealth College as the CFN's official educational institute.
OBSERVING that a lack of activity in the College has lead to the widespread erosion of the institute's foundation.
BELIEVING that amendments to the Charter and "Collegiate Leadership Regulation Act", added to an new platform of administration will improve the College greatly.
~The degree system shall be scrapped and replaced with an "Honors/Regular" achievement system:
-Standard Achievement will serve as the default level of study within a course. To receive Standard Achievement, a student must earn at least 2.5 Credits* (C+ GPA+Exam) in his/her/its course of study.
-Honors Achievement will serve as the advanced level of study within a course. To achieve Honors Achievement, a student must earn at least 3.5 Credits* (B+ GPA+Exam) in his/her/its course of study and successfully complete advanced-level coursework.
~A semester in the College shall last 6 months, with the first semester starting on the 1st of April.
-Professors must have their students complete a Final Exam towards the end of the semester. Students who fail the Final Exam will be penalized by a deduction of 1 Credit* from their overall Creditation.
-Professors are within their rights to have students complete additional exams throughout the exam, as long as it is considered fair by the Code of Honor.
~Professors who seek to open a class must first develop an "agenda"; a plan of how the class will operate and what will be taught in class and at what point in time for both Standard and Honors students. This agenda must be approved of by the Dean/Minister of Education.
~The Professor and Student Organization is hereby responsible for administering the College whenever the Dean requests assistance.
~The "Code of Honor" shall act as the official law code for the College, as well as any other rules that the Professor and Student Organization imposes on the College via democratic vote.
~Lectures/Class-time must be held in real-time at least once every month. The professor and any students that have pledged to attend must come to these classes or face penalty.
~Students must be enrolled in at least 1 class every semester, unless they notify the Dean that they are unable to (Students will have to take two semesters of the same course and pass with at least the minimum credit requirements in order to graduate, according to their achievement level). Professors must teach at least 1 course every semester, unless they notify the Dean that they cannot.
~Further amendments can be made by vote of the Professor and Student Organization.
*Credits are the scored combination of one's GPA and scoring on an exam. Passing an exam will earn your one credit; failing will deduct one credit. Having a D GPA equals 1 credit, having a D+ GPA equals 1.5 credits, etc.
