AUTHOR: Vista MajorDATE: 3/26/15 THE NEW ACCELERATION ACTThis amendment shall repeal and replace the currently-standing Acceleration Act. Article I:Any domestic citizen of the Commonwealth eligible to create legislation may request the Minister of Internal Affairs to accelerate their legislation through Parliament.Article II:Acceleration is the reducing of the time legislation stays in the voting Parliament floor or referendum from the standard 7 days to 4 days. Article III:If a request to accelerate legislation is denied by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the bill is from there-on locked in Parliament for the standard 7-day period. Article IV:Any legislation that is necessary for Cabinet and/or Parliament stability, Military Operations, or any other reason of emergency or urgency, it can automatically be granted fast-track by the Chancellor, without prior approval from the Minister of Internal Affairs. Article V:Bills that earn a ratio of 3:1 denouncements (three denouncements to each endorsement) and maintains it for 4 consecutive days, shall be removed from the floor by the Minister of Internal Affairs, unless the Chancellor intervenes and vetoes the action. Article VI:The Chief Justice may overrule any acceleration on the grounds of violating Commonwealth law.

I take issue with Article 7. I think, even at three days, there would still be time for the bill to gain more support, and I think closing voting for bills with high denouncements after 3 days would be punishing unpopular ideas.

I ENDORSE, but Article 6 is pointless. All Constitutional Amendments are always up for Referendum for 3 days, therefore there is no need to fast-track

Denounced. Redundant language on top of reducing the time in which one can check and ponder on the bill is a tad off the mark. We want max participation on legislation that affects everyone.

I don't understand what's the purpose of accelerating a bill? Primarily to speed the processing of important legislation and prevent clutter in the Parliament (secondarily)
