Author: AcroDate: 3/30/15Chief of Police Establishment Act (CPEA)Recognizing that the CFN Police Department is essentially leaderless, and is currently in a leaderless purgatory. And understanding the need for the CFN Police Department to have a chief to lead it. I: The CFN Police Department will be lead by the Chief of Police, a position subordinate to the Minister of Justice II: This position will not be up for election, and the chief will be installed by the MoJ III: A Chief will remain in his position - Unless a referendum of 60% of the populace demands his resignation
- A Cabinet vote of 4/5 Ministers order his dismissal
- Or he is dismissed by a sitting Minister of Justice
IV:The Chief will have full authority over the CFN Police Department, and will have the full authority of the Minister of Justice in cases of Criminal Activity V: Chief has the ability to issue warnings and recommend law breakers for trial VI: The all reports filed by the Officers will be given to the Chief, who will in turn provide them to the MoJ with recommendations- They will recommend charges or not based on the law
- They will be responsible for the officers and will be the first to discipline the officers

This bill is kinda vague. I agree with the two honourable gentlemen above me, we need to know what the Chief of Police would actually have the power to do.

Now that you've updated the powers, how does this differ from a normal officer and/or the MoJ himself?

The MoJ has multiple powers, the chief has the power to control the officers, he will essentially assist the MoJ control the police.

Cool stuff. Just outline the line between the CoP's role in filing police reports and his or her relations to the Courts/////see Law Enforcement Act to better write it:-)
